CAA 2015 Chicago Open Archives: Intent to Participate

ABOUT
CAA's 2015 "Chicago Open Archives: Collecting and Connecting" is a three-day opportunity, Thursday-Saturday, October 8-10, 2015 for Chicagoans interested in history and cultural heritage to connect with archives during American Archives Month.

CAA encourages archivists to participate in Chicago Open Archives and share your collections with new and existing audiences by offering activities for visitors at your institution. Our inspiration comes from similar, successful events held in Portland, Sacramento, and Cambridge in recent years. Participants can choose one of the three dates and design an activity that best suits their resources. Basic information about the types of activities we are suggesting are in Question 8 on the form.

In order to promote and provide support for "Chicago Open Archives: Collecting and Connecting", CAA needs a minimum number of sites to sign up by June 15th. We are seeking a minimum of 15 sites, ideally with a majority offering an activity that does not require visitors to register in advance.

The Intent to Participate form that follows is designed to collect information from institutions that would like to open their archives to the public during "Chicago Open Archives: Collecting and Connecting."
